Our fields may periodically be closed due to weather and field conditions. This will be done in an effort to protect them from substantial damage that will occur when the fields have standing water or are very soft. Due to the amount of use our fields receive during the season, it may be necessary to temporarily close them even when the sun is shining. FCAYS invests a lot of time and money in these fields and everyone needs to understand that one night of practice on soggy turf can adversely impact it for the rest of the season or longer. Coaches who ignore closings may either lose their teams or future considerations for teams.
